Description
Quieter than a pellet gun when suppressed with subsonic ammunition, and packing a punch unsuppressed with supersonic ammunition, the MK109 Pistol is a favorite in applications ranging from defense to hunting. MK1 Pistols ship with the Sig Sauer Arm Brace, which according to BAFTE does not make this weapon subject to NFA control. The Primary Weapons System long-stoke piston system is an improvement over direct impingement AR-15 actions. By keeping propellant exhaust gases away from the chamber and ammunition feeding area, the PWS long-stroke piston system greatly reduces fouling in the action of the weapon. Using a one piece design, the PWS piston system creates a purely gas to metal operation, rather than metal on metal contact that you may see in other piston designs.
